Meet our Nurses
emma
Emma is the nursing team leader having joined the clinic in in 2019. She is dedicated to her patients and enjoys all aspects of the job. Emma also has experience in Health Assessment, Chronic Disease Management Plans and Diabetes Care.
Nicky
Nicola Rowe is an experienced Registered Nurse having worked in General Practice and in Indigenous communities for years. Nicola is the primary nurse who assists with Health Assessments for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and other eligible patients. As well as assisting with Chronic Disease Management Plans and Diabetes Clinics, Nicola also manages our DVA Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVC) program.
Danielle
Danielle Mitchell has many years of experience as a Registered Nurse specialising with care in paediatrics. Danielle attends to the 4 year old health checks, over 75 year Health Assessments as well as assisting patients with Chronic Disease Management Plans. She is also a nurse immuniser, performing Q-fever vaccinations.
Rachel
Gympie born Rachel has been with the clinic as part of our clinical nursing team since 2019. She is passionate about caring for her community with an interest in immunisations and wound care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, riding motorbikes and camping.
Amanda (Freddie)
Freddie is a newly graduated Registered Nurse who joined The Gympie Clinic in 2022. She is passionate and keen to learn all she can. Freddie enjoys assisting with procedures and wound care.

Lauren Ranaweera
Lauren was born and raised in rural South Australia before moving to Adelaide to undertake university studies in business in 2004. Since that time Lauren has had extensive experience in management and administration across a number of sectors including retail, disaster relief and project development.
Lauren is currently furthering her education in the health administration and management fields while also working behind to scenes at The Gympie Clinic to improve the long-term facilities and processes for patients and staff. It is Lauren’s goal as owner of The Gympie Clinic to ensure it remains one of the Gympie regions top medical centres and all patients are treated fairly and respectfully.
When not working or chasing around 2 young daughters and their 2 dogs, Lauren enjoys cooking, socialising with friends and family and dreaming about travel destinations.
alycon
Alycon has been with the Gympie clinic for a number of years and is an integral part of the team. Overseeing the day to day operations of the front desk, Alycon is here to assist you in all your appointment needs.
Alycon enjoys hockey and spending time with family and friends during her spare time.
Andrea
Andrea has been with The Gympie Clinic since 2024. She is always ready to assist with your reception needs and happy to answer your questions.
